  • What do you require to hold a spot in your schedule?
    • We require a signed proposal and a 25% down payment
  • Why do you require a deposit?
    • We require a deposit to hold your spot in our schedule because we take our schedule very seriously and commit to starting as close to when we said we would as possible. We have found that customers that do not pay a deposit do not take our schedule as seriously as those that do and have to many problems with last minute changes in the schedule causing everyone else to suffer.

  • I have a coupon for Sherwin Williams paint, can you use it?
    • No, our pricing is better than any retail discount and we pass this savings on to you.
  • Do you work on my project until it is complete?
    • The short answer is yes. There are however some cases where we may not. For example, we start your exterior project and we suddenly get a long stretch of inclement weather every day. Or, other renovations need to happen before paint can continue. For the most part we want to stay until the job gets done and you are happy.
  • Do I need to move my furniture or other belongings out of the way prior to the job start?
    • Yes, in all cases, all fragile pieces need to be out of the way. And, unless otherwise agreed on with the project estimator all furniture or other belongings need to be out of the way. We charge $95 a man hour to move furniture away and back.

    • Painting should be last
  • Im having exterior renovations, when should paint happen?
    • Painting should be last

    • The absolute best way is to go to Sherwin Williams and then get some paint and paint the sample onto poster board. (With any booked job 2k and up we let you charge 3 samples to our account)
  • Do you offer color consultations?
    • Yes, for an additional $250 we will help you pick colors, do up to 4 color mock ups and paint up to six color samples for you
  • Do you help with the HOA approval process?
    • Yes, for an additional $350 we are able to handle this from start to finish. However, in some cases we are able to help by simply making a call to the right person if everything else is already taken care of.
  • Can you replace wood?
    • Yes, in most cases we are able to. In terms of what we can replace, it actually just makes more sense to say what we cannot replace. We Cannot Replace: Any rotted wood that needs to be replaced behind rain gutters, boards behind flashing, boards behind drip edges, boards behind roofing, boards going into stone or masonry work, wood secured to stone or masonry work, eaves with trim overlay from behind the gutter (MOST EAVES), any boards that are attached to the previously mentioned boards that would require said boards to be removed in order to replace, quarter round, corbels, beams, pillars, spindles, pre-cut handrails, wooden shutters, frame work, door jambs, window sills, parts of wood windows touching glass, rounded cuts (or cuts around anything attached to the home), custom decorative trim, crown molding on soffits, anything requiring us to order the wood custom or any structural pieces of wood. Check out this article
  • Do you offer a warranty?
  • Do I need to be there when the painting is happening?
    • We have found that in most cases it is better if you are available throughout the project in case we have questions, we need certain types of access and the crew can walk the project with you at the end of the job to ensure satisfaction.
  • What do you do if its raining out?
    • The short answer is, we stop painting. However, if we chose not to work a single day that rain was in the forecast that would rule out most of the summer. In Colorado, afternoon thunderstorms are pretty common May through August, luckily paint dries fairly quickly and the thunderstorms are pretty short lived. In most cases we are able to get back to work the same day, however, there is the occasional weather cell that hangs around longer forcing us to stop for the day. If the paint has been affected by the rain it will be easy to tell as the old color will be showing through and there will be puddles of very watery paint on the ground. If this happens we will repaint the areas and continue on.
  • Do you offer discounts?
    • Usually we have an incentive for signing up on the day of your estimate. Occasionally we will have a special promo going; sign up for or newsletter to be alerted of these!
  • How cold is too cold to paint?
    • All of the quality exterior paints we use, and recommend, have a "surface" temperature rating of 35 degrees or above. The surface temperature is different than the air temperature outside, because the inside of the home has an air temp much higher than the outside air temp.
    • Obviously, if you're scheduling your exterior during the warmer spring, summer and fall months of Colorado than this is not an issue
  • How hot is too hot to paint?
    • In the summer we get plenty of hot dry weather, this can be an issue if its too hot. 95 degrees and above in direct sun for 1-2 hours is too hot for paint to properly adhere.
