Many painting service companies do not offer cabinet painting, as they can be difficult. Cabinets must be painted correctly for them to turn out well and hold up for some time. With the right products and the correct techniques, however, you can paint just about anything, including your kitchen cabinets.
With patience and experience, our professional team has perfected a method to paint cabinets with confidence and pride successfully. All work is completely promptly and efficiently, so you never have to wait too long for your kitchen to come together.
When finished, your newly painted cabinets will reflect light and offer a visually enticing scene throughout the entire kitchen. The final result is beautiful and more durable than ever. Let us transform your kitchen into something fresh and colorful today.
Set Up: Will be completed on specified start date. We will need a designated area to set up as a prep and spray area for doors and drawer faces. This works best in an unfinished basement or garage, if neither is available or it is not temperature conducive to paint we will need a space inside the home. We will also be masking off the kitchen from the rest of the home.
Removal of Kitchen Cabinets: All doors and drawers will be labeled, and removed. The face of the cabinets will be cleaned thoroughly after removal. The doors and drawers will be set up in the on-site paint booth
Prepare Doors, Drawers & facing for Painting: All surfaces to be painted will be thoroughly cleaned and lightly sanded. Then they will be fully primed with a bonding shellac primer. After the primer has dried everything gets sanded with a higher grit sandpaper and wiped clean.
Painting of Kitchen Cabinet Doors, Drawers, and Facing: The doors and drawers will be painted in the studio, and the facing will be done on site. Additional charges will be applied for painting the backside of the cabinet doors. I will be using a high-end, specialty paint that has a self-leveling formula to provide a smooth glossy finish.
During Renovation: Once the boxes/facing of your kitchen is cleaned, we ask that you refrain from heavy cooking during the renovation due to oils, smoke, and dirt that could contaminate your cabinets and act as a resist for the primer and paint. If something were to get on the cabinets, it could result in a delay in completion of the kitchen due to extra cleaning and drying time, and could add additional cost to your estimate. Clean the area if something is to get on the cabinets, but please let us know so we can take the necessary steps for the primer and/or paint to properly adhere. =
Hardware: Existing hardware can be updated by painting for an additional charge. If new hardware is desired, that will be the responsibility of the homeowner to provide prior to the start date. If purchasing hardware, it is recommended to get the same size as existing hardware. But, if the hardware you choose is a different size, your vision is important to us and we would be happy to make it happen. (Exclude Hinges)
Finishing of Kitchen Cabinet Doors, Drawers, and Facing: A durable, safe, water-based topcoat will be applied to increase durability in this high-traffic area. This topcoat has a self-leveling formula to provide a smooth, lasting finish.
Installation of Finished Cabinet Doors & Drawers: Installation will take place after all painting, and topcoat has been applied.
